Mr. Pickles is BACK!

A couple years ago my friend Hank Edwards and I introduced the mm world to a wonderful fat kitty named Mr. Pickles Furryton the Third… and his handsome but shy cat daddy, Michael Fleishman. Michael falls hard and fast for Lacetown, Michigan’s new hairdresser, Jazz Dilworth as the men become embroiled in a murder mystery.

Hank and I finally managed to schedule the rerelease of our Lacetown Murder Mysteries, featuring Michael, Jazz, and, of course, Mr. Pickles! You can preorder both digital and paperback formats for release on June 13, with refreshed covers by the always amazing and wonderful to work with Ron Perry Designs!

Books will be widely available at all retailers and in PRINT

A killer at a small-town literary festival. Bumbling drug dealers. A kidnapped cat. Starting a romance among all this chaos might be the death of them.

Excerpt:

A quick beam of light moved across the dark parking lot.

They both gasped.

“That is a flashlight,” Jazz said, heart skipping. “Do you think someone is trying to break in?”

“Over my dead body. Mr. Pickles is in there.” Michael started toward the funeral home, hands in fists.

Jazz admired how Michael looked for a quick moment—and couldn’t help envying Mr. Pickles—then hurried after and grabbed him by the arm.

“Maybe we should call the cops,” Jazz suggested.

Michael shook his head. “You know what Musgrave is like.”

“Yeah, but it’s his job to protect the people of this town. We both live here in town, therefore, he needs to protect us.”

“You call.” Michael pulled his arm free. “I’m going to stop someone from breaking into my business.”

Another Lacetown festival brings more murder. But this time Jazz and Michael are the suspects

Excerpt:

Michael placed a comforting hand on Jazz’s arm. “How about we find some vino, eh? I’ll tell you about my nightmarish day, and you can tell me about yours.”

Jazz’s eyes widened, and concern crossed his face. “What do you mean nightmarish day? Did something happen? Are you all right? Oh my God, is Mr. Pickles okay?”

“He’s fine,” Michael assured him, linking an arm with Jazz and leading him toward the festival. “The same cannot be said for the murder victim Steve found in the driver’s seat of my hearse this afternoon.”
